Extra long scrounging ride today because it was the day after Christmas, and we all know what that means: the waste machine will have been cranked up into overdrive. Sure enough, all sorts of items found, most all new or like new, many still in their boxes or with the tags still on them: women's shoes, clothes, warm hats, wallets, luggage, artist's paints, sunglasses...and just for me, a nice little stainless steel 3 oz. hip flask.
And of course dumpster after dumpster stuffed full of Christmas wrapping paper and gift bags....ah, won't the landfills look nice in a few days, all flecked with Christmas colors?
