Sunday I scrounged a hydraulic hair stylist chair from a Dumpster near...well, yeah, a hair salon. Looks about like the one on the right, except for a couple of minor nicks, easily enough repaired. Appropriate throne for the empire of scrounge, don't you think?
Heading out to pick up the chair in my old truck I also loaded in various metal discards that I had discovered in other Dumpsters and trash piles on an earlier bicycle ride, so today made a run to the scrap yard: 180 pounds of tin, 16 pounds of #1 copper, 32 pounds of brass, 16 pounds of aluminum clips.
Sittin' pretty in the empire.
